Orphan Ministry
The Orphan Ministry calls to attention the ministry needs of orphans. It encourages adoption through Covenant Familiy Fellowships and mission projects.
Currently the orphan ministry is making blankets and scarves for children in Russia.
The Orphan Ministry meets at least once a month. The dates and times are communicated in the church bulletin.
What the Bible says about Orphans:
God's Promise to Orphans
He knows them-
"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; Your walls are ever before me." Isaiah 49:15-16
He sees them-
"The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked." Psalm 146:9
He has compassion on them-
"For in you the fatherless find compassion." Hosea 14:3b
He defends them-
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling." Psalm 68:5
He will come to them-
"I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you." John 14:18
