Responsible for the professional staff and oversight of the administrative and financial affairs of the church. He is also responsible to ensure the implementation of the church vision as it relates to the church property and budget. He partners with the other pastors in the teaching, pastoral duties, and the shepherding of the congregation. |

Keenan Beere, Executive Pastor
Pastor Keenan Beere grew up in San Antonio, Texas. During his second year of college, he trusted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Afterward, he joined a local church plant and Campus Crusade for Christ where he grew as a believer.
Sensing a call into full-time ministry, Keenan pursued a seminary education in 1999, graduating in 2002. While in seminary, he spent a summer in Brazil doing mission work among the poor. It was there that he met Rachel whom he eventually married.
He moved to Rockford in 2003, joining the staff of Slavic Gospel Association, a mission that serves churches in Russian speaking countries. He served as an accountant for five years and then transitioned to oversee Slavic Gospel’s training, literature and youth ministries. In addition, he regularly preached in churches that support the mission.
Keenan and Rachel joined Maywood in 2006 and have served in various ministries since then. He joined the pastoral staff in March 2019. Keenan has a love for the body of Christ and strives to see believers rooted and built up in Christ (Col. 2:7). He endeavors to serve the body with excellence.
Keenan has a Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.
He married Rachel, his beloved sweetie in 2005. They have two boys, Andre and Lucas.
He enjoys dating Rachel, spending time with his kids and reading a good book over a cup of coffee.
